Sandra Markus

I am an Associate Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology/ SUNY, in New York City. I like to work collaboratively with faculty, and have developed and initiated the Digital Spa, an annual technology summer camp (for faculty) in the school of Art and Design. The spa supports a collaborative learning environment where faculty learn about emerging technologies, and how to integrate these new practices into their pedagogy.

I currently co-teaches the first experimental, interdisciplinary course offered at FIT, Digital Literacy for Designers, offered to all students in the School of Art and Design.

I am working towards completing a doctoral degree at Teachers College, Columbia University in the department of Communication, Media, and Learning Technologies Design. My area of research is technology policy in higher education, with a specific focus on faculty development.
